Gerie is a speaker and writer on quality and testing topics at leading conferences and publishers. She is also a QA Manager and Architect with proven ability to evangelize quality in quality-averse organizations, manage complex projects involving multiple applications and automated scripting, coordinating onshore and offshore test teams across multiple time zones with sensitivities toward different business environments while maintaining a consistent test approach and achieving high defect removal efficiency rates.
Gerie has an MBA, and began her
career in the insurance industry. She moved into
testing in the late 1990s at MetLife as a domain
expert. She quickly became excited about a career in
testing and continued professional development in the field.
She moved to the NStar electric utility in 2010, and into a
test process and strategy role during the merger of NStar
and Northeast Utilities.
Gerie is a certified Agile Scrum
Master.
